Water distortion lamp
At first I wanted to let the light reflect of the water as I had seen in the forest and city. This is the proof of concept. It however reflected off of the reflective bottom of the water tank and not the water itself. Also The more water I added the less it reflected, I had to rethink this through.
These are the first sketches of the water projector idea. I thought about what created the effect I was seeking and it was the distortion of the water surface. The light didn't need to come from above to capture this.
Experimenting with creating the projector shape
The first working prototype which was a proof of concept of the water projector. It is made with aluminium foil, hotglue, plastic, paper, and a bicycle light
Lamp made with a bubbler to create distortion and a strong lamp to pick up the distortion.
Material: Modeling paper, plastic, reflective paper

Here a whiter light is used, see the difference with the one on the right where a warmer lamp is used
small table made with a bubbler to create distortion and a strong lamp to pick up the distortion.

The difference is that instead of the ceiling being the projection screen, the table top is
